Adult Protective Services (APS) is a social services program that helps protect older adults and vulnerable adults who may be experiencing abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or financial exploitation.
APS workers investigate reports of concern, assess safety risks, and connect individuals with services and supports that help them remain safe and maintain as much independence as possible.
Their goal is not to punish, but to protect, support, and respect each person’s rights and choices.
